  • Unlocking the Potential of Older Women: A Global Symposium on Grandmother Leadership and Social Change -- 11:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. ET each day, Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23 --  This conference is hosted by the Grandmother Collective and aims to illuminate and celebrate the profound role of grandmothers and older women as changemakers.   • Rise and Thrive: Empowering East African Youth through Education -- 6:00 p.m. ET, Thursday, May 30 -- Join Aga Khan Foundation Canada and Canada-Mathare Education Trust to explore innovative approaches, challenges, and triumphs in promoting educational access for girls, in East Africa and beyond. The participants will also discuss the role of Canadian cooperation in expanding gender-equitable education and skill-building opportunities for youth in the region.
